Decrease in costs of silicon PV cells of 99.5% (!!) since 1977

As you can see on this nice graph, there has been a price drop for silicon PV cells from $76 to $0.36 per watt of output within a time frame of 37 years. This is very encouraging, even more so since this trend will continue for many years to come, making solar power ever more attractive!
