Infant mortality dropped by 50% since 1995

One of the Millenium Development Goals set in 1995 was to reduce infant mortality by 50% until 2015…and we actually almost achieved that goal!

Back in 1995, 6% of infants died before the age of one. In 2015 that number dropped to 3%!! Although every child death is one too many, one has to accept that this number will never be zero. However, there is still much room left for improvement.
