Clean energy investment increased 5 fold since 2004

Global Investment in Clean Energy rose 5-Fold since 2004

In 2004 investment in clean energy (which – according to Bloomberg’s analysis –  includes Energy Smart Tech and other energy efficiency measures) was roughly $62 billion. Since then, investment jumped to $287 billion within just 12 years. Although, as you can see in the chart above, more money was invested in 2015 (a record of $348 billion), as well as 2011 and 2014, the overall trend is rising quickly.

In 2016, global investment in Renewables ($286 billion) was greater than investment in fossil fuels ($130 billion) and developing countries invested more in renewable energy than the developed countries…..stick that in your pipe and smoke it, dear fossil fuels!!!😎
